Hi, I’m Yamila — the heart behind The Love Nest Design.

Growing up, I didn’t have much, and we moved often. I also had no idea that something like interior design even existed. But somehow, the instinct was always there. Even as a child, I would rearrange furniture, fix small things, or add simple touches to make wherever we were feel warmer and more like home.

As I grew older, I often found myself helping family and friends reorganize their spaces; moving furniture, adding curtains, or bringing in small decorative touches. And something almost magical would happen. I would see a sense of relief on their faces, as if the space had given them a fresh start. I didn’t know how to describe it at the time, but I loved doing it because of what it created for the people I cared about.

Later in life, my professional path led me into accounting and finance. I have always loved numbers and mathematics, so working with financial processes and understanding how businesses operate felt very natural to me. Over the years, I worked closely with teams and leadership and gained a deep understanding of the operational and financial side of running a business.

But creativity always remained a quiet part of who I was.

Over time, I realized that this creative side of me wasn’t just something I enjoyed, it was something deeply healing. Design became a kind of therapy for me, a way to bring beauty, calm, and meaning into everyday spaces.

That journey eventually became The Love Nest Design, where my mission is simple: It’s not about luxury, not about trends is about helping people create homes that feel deeply personal, spaces that reflect who they are and how they want to live.

A home should give you a sense of belonging, a place where you can breathe deeply, feel at peace, and create meaningful memories with the ones you love.
